Leadership Client Examples
The
executive team at an utility was not as effective as their
CEO thought it should be. They seemed to not be able to anticipate
significant changes in their business environment and they
had difficulty raising and addressing issues. We used a combination
of qualitative and ratings-based 360° feedback to assess individual
and team effectiveness. At an executive workshop we introduced
communications and group decision-making skills that were
almost universally lacking. The new skills along with some
individual coaching helped the team make the changes needed
to raise their collective performance.
A
large, global electronics company made a huge annual investment
in the development of its leaders. Yet it often didn’t seem
to have qualified internal candidates for key positions. It
also thought that there was too much deadwood within the leadership
ranks. We helped this client flesh out a competency-based
process for selecting, developing, assessing and assigning
leaders.
We
worked with an entrepreneurial CEO to help him take a longer
term view of his growing organization. We helped him to shift
his focus from operations to being a strategic architect of
a new business model. He successfully led an overhaul of his
organization’s strategic plan and identified new resources
and capabilities that will support and enable its growth.
